As part of the scientific activities at the College of Arts, University of Basrah, the College of Arts Library, under the management of Professor Dr. Hala Ghalib Al-Nahi, organized a workshop entitled “Administrative Leadership and Negotiation Skills.” The workshop was delivered by Professor Dr. Batoul Ghalib Al-Nahi, with the participation of a number of faculty members, staff, and students.

The workshop aimed to develop participants’ leadership and administrative skills by introducing the concept of modern administrative leadership and highlighting the key qualities of a successful leader, in addition to shedding light on effective negotiation skills and their importance in managing professional situations and making appropriate decisions.

The workshop included several themes covering effective communication methods, problem-solving techniques, and mechanisms for managing conflicts within the workplace, along with practical examples drawn from real-life experiences to strengthen the applied aspect of the presented material.

The workshop witnessed remarkable engagement from attendees through questions and discussions that enriched the session and contributed to clarifying many aspects related to leadership and negotiation skills.

At the conclusion of the workshop, the lecturer emphasized the importance of continuously developing leadership and negotiation skills to keep pace with the demands of institutional work, thereby contributing to improved performance and the achievement of organizational goals.
