The Languages Center at the College of Arts, University of Basrah, conducted an English Language Proficiency Test (IELTS) on Thursday, 11/06/2026, in the multimedia language laboratory.

The test witnessed the participation of a number of applicants and was administered in both Academic and General Training formats according to candidates’ choices. Listening, reading, and writing sections began at 9:00 a.m., while the speaking test started at 1:00 p.m.

The Languages Center at the College of Arts at the University of Basrah is the only center authorized by the British Council to administer the IELTS exam in Basra Governorate.
